Missoma’s new Winter 07
collection sees the launch of
the Brand’s first 18ct gold
plated range. The shapes range
from stylised peacock inspired
drops to more organic designs,
but they are all inset or hand
beaded with vibrant colour
combinations of precious and
semi-precious stones for which
Missoma has become recognised.
Missoma’s designs have been
influenced by the vivid
colours seen in the works of
Impressionists such as Gaugin
and the Russian avant-garde
artists of the early 20th
century, and inspired by
travels to countries with such
rich cultures as Mexico,
India, Morocco and Thailand.
The brand’s aim has been to
create distinctive pieces that
emphasise their clientele’s
individuality and flair.
The colours used for next
season sees amethyst teardrops
surrounded by peridots and
green tourmalines, tanzanite
combined with sapphires,
amethyst and turquoise, smokey
quartz offset by deep iolites
and pale blue topaz, whilst
turquoise and opals are given
depth by grey-hued pearls and
black onyx. There are also
multi-coloured clusters of
appatite, green onyx,
amethyst, pink sapphire, ruby
and black onyx to name but a
few of the unique and exotic
colour ranges used in this
collection.
Missoma is fast becoming an
established and much sought
after fashion jewellery label
with a loyal and ever-growing
fan-base both at home in the
UK (where they are stocked in
Harrods and Harvey Nichols
amongst other high-end fashion
and jewellery boutiques) as
well as abroad. Missoma
jewellery is now stocked in
Paris, St. Tropez, Milan and
Geneva as well as in the
Middle East, the US, Germany,
Spain and Greece.
