5 Items You Need In Your Wardrobe

Regardless of what level you may exercise at, it is always better to be prepared for the challenges of a gruesome workout. Having the correct attire for the gym can go a long way, especially as the materials and the technology used to produce it, help your performance and the way you feel at the gym.

To help you through the process of finding the right items for you, we’ve drawn together a list of items you need in your gym wardrobe

The Sporting T-Shirt

Many of us exercise in an old, worn out t-shirt, especially, as you won’t care about sweating in it. However, that represents a problem as sports, or t-shirts designed for your workout help you keep cooler as well as absorb sweat. A sports t-shirt may seem as the most obvious choice, however, anything that helps your body breath during exercise is a priority!

The Track Pants

Track pants have seem something of a renaissance over the last 3 – 4 months and become fashion favourites all over the world. Track pants were initially designed by the likes of Puma, Adidas and Nike, however, now they have been taken on by independent brands, which are perfect for running. Track pants are also versatile as they can be worn casually and when you are exercising, so it’s definitely a must have.

A Proper Pair of Running Trainers

A good pair of trainers can go a long way in terms of training and general comfort. Running shoes are effectively there to comfortably train in, without worrying about damaging ankles, knees or any ligaments and muscles in between. Take a look at trainers with ankle supports but that also bring you an extra added level of comfort that will only benefit you when you train and especially when you run.

Mid-Thigh Shorts

No matter how short you go in your own time, mid-thigh shorts are the perfect length to train in. They are not short enough to cause confusion and also discomfort but are long enough that they are not basketball shorts. Whether you have pockets or not is down to you, however, that is entirely down to preference and whether you prefer to your phone stuck to your arm, or alternatively, in your pocket. Get a proper pair of mesh shorts and the same principle with swimming shorts and you’ll be far more prepared than ever!
